Its one of the largest states in Australia and the second largest subnational entity in the world, being bounded by South Australia and Northern Territory to the east and Indian Ocean to the West and North with the first inhabitants of Indigenous Australians that arrived from north approximately 40,000 to 60,000  years ago and European Dutch explorer Dirk Hartog was the first of the European explores who encountered the coast by the 18th century the British and French also were exploring the Western Australian coast. It has beautiful beaches, wine regions, canyons, magnificent gorges and unique landforms with population of 2.2 million, Perth being its capital, Great Golden outback with historic townships and fascinating Aboriginal culture with settlements of gold-rush pioneers, Coral Coast with marine life and national reserves from Cervanter to far north of Exmouth where Ningaloo Reef is located and 75 national Parks.
